This website is dedicated to my mother, who inspired me to advocate for the vulnerable in our society, such as children, the elderly, the mentally ill, and the physically handicapped.
Whether she loved with a passionate heart or fierce conviction, she possessed a loving and compassionate nature, and she stood up for her beliefs and values with unshakable faith.
Our family and friends looked up to her as an inspiration and mentor. A beautiful soul, she was the matriarch of the family.
Despite her physical struggles, she advocated for family and friends. When difficult situations arose, her smile, sense of humor, and laughter brought comfort. My mother had a hard upbringing herself growing up in rural Kentucky and Ohio, but she prayed constantly for her family and friends to be safe, healthy, and happy.
In my mother’s final year, I was driven to establish an organization that could provide a secure space for those affected by child sexual abuse.
My goal was to provide immediate access to resources and services for those victims, along with their families.
Despite the common misconception, it’s not always strangers that pose a threat – many times they are people close to the child. So in order to fight this issue, we must ensure children and families are taught the skills necessary to identify and report abuse.
But rather than my own experience being the sole focal point, I wanted there to be a place for victims, survivors and their families in urgent need of help.
