Sweet BeaZ House, was created to honor my mother, Beatrice (Hutchinson) Lowe, who passed away January 31, 2022, eight years after her diagnosis in 2014. She was diagnosed with a devastating disease called Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Even during her struggle with such a fateful illness, she fought valiantly with unyielding courage and stayed strong through her trust in God. Whether she loved with a passionate heart or fierce conviction, she possessed a loving and compassionate nature, and she stood up for her beliefs and values with unshakable faith. She was a beautiful, intelligent, witty, funny, intuitive lady who had the special gift of discernment. She was the epitome of integrity and trustworthiness. She lived by her word through her actions. My mother was like a bank vault; she sure could keep all those secrets people shared with her throughout her lifetime. Our family and friends looked up to her as an inspiration and mentor. A beautiful angelic soul; she was the matriarch of the family. Despite her physical struggles, she advocated for family and friends with determination and conviction. When difficult situations arose, her smile, sense of humor, and infectious laughter brought comfort.
In any difficult situation, my mother always had this saying……
“As long as there is BREATH in our bodies, there is HOPE…….
HOPE to be free of childhood sexual abuse;
HOPE to have a healthy and happy life;
HOPE in a successful future; and
HOPE in rebuilding the trust in humanity.
My mother had a hard upbringing herself growing up in rural Kentucky and then Ohio, but she prayed constantly for her family and friends to be safe, healthy, and happy. In my mother’s final year, I was encouraged to establish an organization that could provide a secure and safe space for those adult survivors affected by child sexual abuse and trauma.
My goal was to provide immediate access to education, resources and services for those adult surviving victims, along with their families. The legacy of her compassionate and generous heart will continue through this safe space created for those who are in need of direction for resources and services. My mother inspired me to advocate for children, the elderly, the mentally challenged, and the physically handicapped on this website.
The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation provides more information on this horrific disease below.
